Beach of Mesimvria

Beach of Mesimvria
The beach of Mesimvria, a huge, almost two-kilometre-long sandy strip in front of the homonymous seaside settlement, is the westernmost swimming beach in the area. Its vast expanse allows visitors to choose whether to spend a quiet day at sea, sunbathing and swimming, or to sit at one of the beach bars offering coffee and food, providing sunbeds and umbrellas. It is located almost 20 km from Alexandroupolis, being a natural continuation of the neighbouring beach at Dikella.
The brown, fine sand dominates the coast and the first swimming meters. The sea is distinguished by its purity and the point, which is the end of the magnificent coastline of the Evros region from its capital to the Rhodope coast, is characterized by its clear, crystal clear waters. The Archaeological Site of Mesimbria (Ancient Zone) is located at the western end of the plaza, particularly colouring the landscape with the synthesis of ancient civilisation and the beautiful natural environment that meets the wet element.
