Beach of Dikella

Beach of Dikella
The beach in front of the settlement of Dikella, about 20 km west of Alexandroupolis, is one of the largest in the region. It stretches over a length of more than a kilometre and is quite wide, giving space to bathers and avoiding the feeling of overcrowding. It is mainly sandy, as is its bottom, with pebbles in places. It is one of the most popular destinations for swimming by the residents of Alexandroupolis and holidaymakers.
The coast has several organized spots for the convenience of visitors, with beach bars, umbrellas, sunbeds, beach volleyball court, trash cans, but also large areas for those who prefer to enjoy swimming by their own means. The waters are clear and crystal clear, as certified every year by the relevant inspections of the competent body, while the settlement has restaurants for eating after swimming. It is characteristic that, although it is the most "remote" beach from the city, the quality of its infrastructure and waters put it high on the list of preferred choices for a seaside getaway every summer.
