Municipal Beach of Alexandroupolis

Municipal Beach of Alexandroupolis
The Municipal Beach of Alexandroupolis (former "EOT Plaza") extends in the coastal zone of the city, west of the port. It is the most popular choice for residents and visitors, as it is a few meters from the urban fabric and many people approach it on foot. It is very organized, with infrastructure for the service of bathers in terms of catering, equipment and water sports.
The strip of about one kilometre that borders the Thracian Sea in front of the town is awarded every year with a Blue Flag for the quality of its waters and infrastructure, while the rest of the beach to the west ("Delphini"), which extends to "Kokkina Vrachia", reaches almost two kilometres of continuous coastline and can accommodate a large number of visitors while remaining comfortable for all. The beach is accessible to people with disabilities.
The light-coloured sand, which also covers the shallow, in the first few metres, bottom, is mainly 'free' for swimming with personal equipment. Visitors who wish to do so will find umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, mini-markets, toilets and changing rooms at the relevant service points. Also, there are restaurants for those who want to stay in the sea breeze after their swim and have lunch with a view of the endless blue.
