«Eleftheria»

The incorporation of Alexandroupolis into Greece, on 14 May 1920, is celebrated every year with a series of events, which culminate on the anniversary day and last throughout May. "Eleutheria" includes concerts, performances, commemorative events, sports and artistic events, workshops, presentations, with the participation of sports and cultural institutions of the city.

On May 14, a Divine Liturgy, an official Doxology, a memorial service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place, followed by a parade on the Vassiliou Alexandrou promenade by students, institutions and representatives of the Greek Army.
